A Mindful Minute: Reset Your Mind

Our brain's main function is to control our movement.

Sitting is the new smoking. With working from home, social distancing, and the new normal, it's easy to think that everything is cancelled but we can still get outside, go for a walk or run, or even exercise in our living rooms. Whatever you do, keep moving!

Our brain's main function is to control our movement.

Fun fact: Humans can only maintain high focus for about 25 minutes before it sharply declines. So, be sure to take mental and physical breaks throughout the day.

Try setting an alarm every 25 minutes or every hour to remind yourself to take 5 minute breaks to reset your mind. In those 5 minutes, hydrate, do some deep breathing to help keep the oxygen flowing, and move (stretch, walk, etc.).
