Authenticity is a practice. It’s a choice. We choose authenticity and being authentic answers who you are at your core. We must think deeper and be open. Our stories are not without blemishes so we must include them when thinking about, developing, and sharing our stories. Sometimes we think that in telling our story we should only reveal the picture perfect version of ourselves. We forget that the scars and the bumps are what make us interesting. They're what make us real.
The best way to start uncovering who we are is practicing authenticity, being vulnerable and asking ourselves those direct, sometimes tough, and intentional questions to get to who we really are.
The authentic self is the soul made visible. — Sarah Ban Breathnach
